Our mission
Nissi Shine exists to make a real difference — not just in the spaces we clean, but in the lives of the people we serve and the people who do the work. We set out to do this job better than anyone else could, and to treat that work with the respect it deserves. Cleaning is valuable. It matters. And we believe the people who do it should be honored for it.
That belief shapes everything we do. It is why we hold ourselves to a standard that goes beyond what most clients would even notice. To do that, we must put our staff at the center of our business. —It's why we've built Nissi with a real commitment to creating jobs and meaningful opportunities for members of our community. When we grow, our team grows with us.
At the end of the day, we want our clients to feel the impact of what we do — and we want the people on our team to feel it too. Adding to both sides of that equation: that is what this work is for.
Our history.
How it started
Nissi Shine did not begin with a business plan. It began with Esther. After immigrating to the United States, she started cleaning to earn a living — and found that she was good at it. It was her father who introduced her to the opportunities that turned that work into something more. What started as a way to get by became a company she built with her own hands.
The foundation we built on
As the business grew, so did the work behind it. Esther's husband, Gonzalo, joined her and became a core part of everything Nissi Shine is. There were hard stretches along the way — the kind that test whether a business and the people running it are willing to keep going. We kept going. God has been the firm foundation from the start, and it became clear over time that this was not just a business. It was a calling. That conviction is still at the center of how we operate today.
Growing the team
In late 2025, we brought on Samuel as a partner. Samuel had worked alongside us for several years before that as a consultant, and the fit was already there. Bringing him into the business formally was the next right step — one that made the team stronger and set us up to grow the right way. Since then, we have continued to build out the Nissi Shine family, and that is not something we plan to stop doing.
